Adriano Malori (Movistar Team) remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but his condition is "stable" and there has been a "significant clinical improvement" after his second night at the Hospital of San Luis, according to a new medical report.
Malori remains "stable" in the ICU and his condition has had a "significant clinical improvement". He is "awake" and "responds to simple commands."
The Health Department of San Luis has issued the following statement regarding the Italian cyclist. "The patient Adriano Malori, 27 years of age, is still hemodynamically stable in the ICU, with significant clinical improvements. He is Awake, responding to simple commands."
Malori was the worst injured in the crash on the fifth stage of the Tour de San Luis when he was unable to avoid a pothole in the road. He was immediately taken to the Hospital of San Luis and diagnosed with "multiple injuries and a head injury" in addition to a fracture of the right collarbone. He was in a induced coma the first night until "woke up and responded to all types of stimulus" on Saturday.
From the start, the condition was stable and Malori showed signs of improvement. Yesterday the hospital talked about a "favorable evolution, stationary" - a progression that has been confirmed today.
