Team Giant-Alpecin start today’s sixth day of racing at Paris-Nice with just seven riders after Ramon Sinkeldam was deemed not well enough to start the race after falling sick last night.
“Ramon was sick last night and then unable to eat any food,” explained the team’s Physician in France, Stephan Jacolino. “It is gastrointestinal problems and with the coaches we decided that he wasn’t well enough to start today’s stage, and that he should return home to recover.”
