This week, Team Sky has started their preparations for the spring classicc. Many of the team’s classics riders were spending two days training on the cobbles of Belgium and France. They published some photos on Twitter and Instagram.

Luke Rowe, Christian Knees, Geraint Thomas, Salvatore Puccio, Danny van Poppel and Italian neo-pro Gianni Moscon were among the riders testing themselves on the cobbles.

Despite suffering in the cold and rain, they talked about their endeavours on social networks : “Good few days of recon for Flanders / Roubaix despite the grim weather. Bring on the classics !” and “Roubaix recon analysis - It's still bumpy !!!”

The 100th edition of the Tour of Flanders will be held on April 3, with Paris-Roubaix one week later on Sunday April 10.
