With the Fancy Bears case, Team Sky's image has been tarnished, even in Great Britain. But Graham McWilliam, Team Sky chairman, keeps his confidence in his cycling squad.
"Keep your feet firmly on the ground and stay focused on what's important. For Team Sky taht's racing and winning, the right way. That's what we've done from the start and that's what we'll continue to do in future (sic). I can assure you of Sky's full and continued support. There is no equivocation on our part. We trust you, we believe in you and we remain as excited about this sport as ever", he wrote in a message to the team.
The leak of the personal medical history by a group of hackers raised questions about Brdley Wiggins's use of Therapeutic Use Exemptions. With TUEs, athletes can use banned substances, but only under certified medical conditions. UKAD (United Kingdom Anti-doping Agency) has announced that they have opened an investigation into another incident where a British Cycling doctor reportedly travelled to the 2011 Criterium du Dauphiné with an unnmaed substance for Wiggins:
"UKAD is investigating an allegation of wrongdoing in cycling. In order to protect the integrity of the investigation we will not comment further."
