Team Sky has confirmed Michał Gołaś as their third signing for the 2016 season.
The 31 year old from Toruń will join the team after a four-year spell at Etixx - Quick-Step. During that time he won the 2012 Polish road race title and triumphed at the 2015 Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen.
Gołaś has also topped the mountains classification at the Tours of Poland and Beijing, and won the sprint jersey at the Tour of Britain.
When he is not battling it out for victories himself, Golas is also regarded as one of the world's best domestiques and has played a pivotal role in numerous successes over his six full seasons as a professional.
On signing for Team Sky, Gołaś said: "I'm very proud to be joining Team Sky, and extremely motivated for next year.
"I have always admired the team's philosophy, and the success they have achieved over the years. I can't wait to start learning from, and supporting, some of the greatest riders in the sport."
Team Principal Dave Brailsford said: "Michał is a strong, solid all-rounder who will really fit into the engine room of this team.
"He offers a robustness that we were looking for, and we are really excited to have him on board."
Golas is a close friend of Michal Kwiatkowski and this signing a clear indication that the announcement of a contract with the current would champion is imminent.
