Danilo Wyss is the part of the core of the BMC team. Since 2008, the Swiss has worn the black and red jersey. Only Brent Bookwalter has been with the team for a similar period.
During this time, Wyss has always done his job as a reliable helper, and from time to time he has achieved his own results. That was also the case in 2016 when the 31-year-old finished fourth in a stage at the Tour Down Under, second on stages of the Vuelta a Espana and the Tour la Provence (2.1) and fourth in the Swiss Championships.
"My balance is positive. I have achieved good results and done the work the team asked for," Wyss told radsport-news.com.
The Swiss champion from 2015 is especially proud of the Vuelta a Espana even though he narrowly missed out on victory on stage 13. "But we won the teams classification because of that," Wyss added.
In 2017, the all-rounder will start his tenth season with BMC and - even though he does not already know his exact racing program - will be the reliable helper who can ride for himself whenever he gets the chance.
