Angelo Citracca's Southeast team has received confirmation that they will ride at the Professional Continental level in 2016.
The decision means that the manager can now focus on finalizing his roster that already has 16 riders and could undergo "at least two developments in the coming weeks". They will work to finalize "any agreement to incorporate Pozzato" as has been pointed out in recent weeks. The Italian classics rider rode for the team in 2012.
Pozzato, 34, raced for Lampre-Merida during last three seasons and his palmares include big wins like Milan-San Remo (2006), Tirreno-Adriatico (2003), two stages in the Tour de France (2004 and 2007), a stage in the Giro d'Italia (2010), the Italian Championships (2009) and classics like Het Volk (2007) and E3 Harelbeke (2009). He was second in the Tour of Flanders in 2012 and Paris-Roubaix in 2009.
Jakub Mareczko and Manuel Belletti are the main riders in a team that has signed Julen Navarro (Café Baqué-Campos), Cristian Rodriguez (Caja Rural-RGA) and Daniel Martinez (Team Colombia).
