Today sees the start of an interesting race; the Tour Méditerranéen.

Many of the sports big names are starting, and especially André Greipel, Roman Kreuziger, Michael Rogers, Lars Boom, Bauke Mollema, Andy Schleck, Ion Izagirre, Mikel Nieve, Thomas Voeckler, Pierre Rolland, Thibaut Pinot, Rein Taaramae, Jean-Christophe Peraud, Andrew Talansky, Thor Hushovd and Franco Pellizotti are expected to play crucial roles and be contenders for overall victory.

For Andy Schleck this is a much anticipated comeback after he was forced to retire from Tour Down Under. Today’s stage from Limoux to Gruissan is expected to end in a bunch sprint.
