Wanty-Groupe Gobert have announced that the Walloon rider Robin Stenuit extends his contract with Wanty-Groupe Gobert for another year.
"I'm happy to stay with the team for another year. The team appreciated my work this season. I hope to make a step forward next season", Robin Stenuit said.
Most of the time Robin Stenuit was used as helper for the sprinter Kenny Dehaes.
"In 2016 my job in the team consisted of helping our other fast guys. I learned a lot."
It was Robin Stenuit's first year at the pro-continental level.
"It was a difficult year. I needed time to adapt myself to this level. I managed to grab my chances as well."
Robin Stenuit is in form the past weeks. He finished as third in the kermesse of Izegem and as 8th in the GP Impanis-Van Petegem.
"I feel good at the moment. I hope I can get another good result before the end of the year."
He is already thinking about next season.
"In 2017 I'll try to continue to be a good lead-out man for Kenny Dehaes but I would like to get my second professional victory."
