Wim Stroetinga will ride for Vlasman Cycling Team next year, according to an announcement from the team. Stroetinga and manager Ton Welling worked together at Koga earlier in their careers. Last year the 31-year-old sprinter rode for Parkhotel Valkenburg.
Vlasman is a new cycling team at the national level in the Netherlands. The team have signed Jasper Bovenhuis (An Post-Chain Reaction), Roy Eefting (Dutch omnium champion) and Robin Wennekes (Dutch champion among elite riders without contract). The intention is that the team can get a continental license in 2018.
This year Stroetinga won a stage in the Ster ZLM Toer. In Boxtel, he beat Dylan Groenewegen in the sprint. He finished third at the Dutch championships. In 2009 and 2010 he ride for Milram at the highest level.
