Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt (1.HC) is traditionally held on the 1st of May. It is the first professional race on German soil and is one of the highlights of the season for Team Stölting Service Group.

Starting in Eschborn, the 206.8 km race passes through Frankfurt before heading into the Taunus. The riders have to climb a.o. the Großer Feldberg, the highest mountain of the Taunus range, before returning to the plain around the Main river. However, the decisive challenge of the race comes on the slopes of the Mammolshainer Berg. Between km 112 and 172, this short, but steep ascent with gradients reaching 23% has to be raced four times. After the final time up the Mammolshainer Berg the race descends straight into Frankfurt. A 3 km finishing circuit is covered three times before the race winner is decided in front of the Alte Oper.

Team Stölting Service Group will field a strong team led by two-time winner Fabian Wegmann. Gerald Ciolek has also achieved good results in Frankfurt in the past, and in Linus Gerdemann and Rasmus Guldhammer the team has two strong and aggressive riders. They're supported by Lennard Kämna, Thomas Koep, Christian Mager and Michael Reihs.

Sports Director Jochen Hahn says:

“This is one of the most important races of the year for us. Fabian has won in Frankfurt several times, but Gerdemann and Guldhammer can also play a role. We want to perform well and make the race. In case of a sprint we have Gerald Ciolek who was runner-up in the past. We have several cards to play so we will decide on who to support during the race depending on how the situation unfolds. If several teams commit to a sprint finish, it is still possible to close a gap of even one-and-a-half minutes after the Mammolshainer Berg.”
