Last weekend, German Tony Martin explained he would like to beat the UCI Hour Record. An other time trial specialist has the idea of making an attempt on this trial: Sylvain Chavanel.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, the futur rider of Direct Energie will take on that challenge the next month (between October 10-15).

"If this idea crossed my mind, it is because this is serious... We must now find the appropriate time. This kind of project requires special preparation, and I did not want to take that record lightly. I do not really know what I am capable of, but I really love this idea", he told.
