Andrew Talansky will be present at the start of the Tour of Utah to improve his form. He hopes to shine at the next three-week race: the Vuelta a Espana.
"There was a lot of suffering that year and it didn't really go great for me. There's probably going to be a lot of suffering this year, but I'm hoping it yields a better result", the American rider told Cyclingnews during Saturday's team presentation.
With Joe Dombrowski, Cannondale will have a strong team in Utah. Talansky will support the defending champion.
"Joe smashed everybody in this race last year, and after all the help he gave me at Swiss and at the Vuelta with me, I'm looking forward to the chance to repay that a bit", he explained. "He's in great shape and it's an important race for him, myself and the whole team. And when you have the defending champ it's obvious you are going to support him."
