Cannondale-Garmin Pro Cycling today announced its roster for the 67th edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné. The American team fields a strong eight-rider squad featuring defending champion Andrew Talansky. Alongside Talansky, Jack Bauer, Nathan Haas, Kristjian Koren, Sebastian Langeveld, Dan Martin, Ramunas Navardauskas and Dylan van Baarle will take to the start in Ugine. Navardauskas, Langeveld and Bauer were all part of Talansky’s Critérium du Dauphiné win in 2014.

“I’m very much looking forward to returning to the Dauphiné having won the race last year,” said Talansky. “A few my teammates from last year’s Dauphiné are returning this year, and I think the race holds a special place in the season for all of us. It was my first personal stage race win at this level, and I’m the youngest rider to have won the Dauphiné in the history of the race. It’s all pretty exciting.”

The mountainous route for the eight-day French stage race includes the Digne-les-Bains to Pra Loup, which is identical to stage 17 of the Tour de France.

“We go the Dauphiné with a strong team headed up by former winner Andrew Talansky and Dan Martin,” said sport director Charly Wegelius. “The Dauphiné is a special and important race for our team, and we are highly motivated.”

The American outfit will look for stage and overall results. The riders selected for the Dauphiné team will each play a vital role in supporting the team goals.

“Personally, I’m looking forward to the mountain stages,” said Talansky. “The team is definitely on the right track at the moment. We had success at the Giro. I won the time trial at Nationals. We raced really well together as a team at the national road race. We all feel the momentum building, and we’re looking forward to continue to build on the success we’ve seen recently and carrying that into the Dauphiné.”
