As it is reported on Revista Mundo Ciclistico, the third consecutive year of existence should bring Team Colombia plenty of new possibilities into its competitive program, as the team’s participation in Tour de San Luis and Tour de Langkawi has been announced.
It will be the first appearance of the Colombia’s Professional Continental team in both Tour de San Luis taking place in Argentina from 19 to 26 January 2014 and Tour de Langkawi, which runs from 27 February to 8 March in Malaysia. Those decisions taken by the team’s technical staff aim to enable Team Colombia’s riders the best possible preparation for European part of the season, without a threat of bad weather conditions spoiling all the efforts.
The preparation period for Colombian riders should start in their home country in December, where team manager Claudio Corti is heading this week to finalize deal with Coldeportes director, Andres Botero. Corti do not hide his great expectations connected with Team Colombia’s participation in major World Tour events in the upcoming year, which seems very likely considering its roster being possibly strengthened by the arrival of Samuel Sanchez after Euskaltel’s demise.
