Because of financial difficulties, Team Cult Energy, whose Linus Gerdemann, Fabian Wegmann, Russell Downing and Gustav Larsson are the most famous riders, must stop as of September 13 if it does not find a new sponsor. 

"After September 13, we have decided to stop our race program, because we now have a limited amount of money, so we cannot run the last month of the season," sport director Michael Skelde told dr.dk. "I'm still optimistic, but I understand if our riders are in despair about the team's future. They are now informed about the situation and we will not stand in the way if a rider changes teams."

Before the deadline, this team will compete during the Post Danmark Tour (August 4-8) and the Tour of Britain (September 8-13).

This season, Linus Gerdemann won the Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg (+ one stage win). Mads Pedersen finished first at the stage 3 of ZLM Roompot Tour. In Great Britain, Martin Mortensen won Velothon Wales. The last victory is the National Championships Sweden individual time trial title with Gustav Larsson.
