Team Europcar, debuting this year as a World Tour squad, announced their roster for the highly uninspiring 2014 edition of the Paris-Nice, to be held from 9th to 16th March.
Even though the whole spotlight will be turned to the home crowd’s favorite Thomas Voeckler, the popular Frenchman admitted we won’t seek the personal ambitions this time around as he aims to use this race to find the right rhythm in competition after his unfortunate accident which prevented him from participating in Santos Tour Down Under in mid-January.
Thus, the team work will most likely be dedicated to the 21-year old Bryan Coquard chasing the stage victories in the finishes from the bunch, while the likes of Cousin or Gautier will be let to play their own cards in the race.
The Team Europcar roster for Paris-Nice consists of:
Thomas Voeckler, Bryan Coquard, Jérôme Cousin, Jimmy Engoulvent, Cyril Gautier, Bryan Nauleau and Perrig Quémeneur.
