Team Sky have announced Beñat Intxausti as their latest signing for the 2016 season.
The 29 year old from Amorebieta, Spain has penned a two-year deal with the team and will complete his fifth successive season with Movistar before opening a new chapter of his career at Team Sky.
During his time with Movistar, he achieved two stage victories and a spell in the pink jersey at the Giro d'Italia, as well as overall triumphs at the Vuelta a Asturias and Tour of Beijing.
Two top-10 Grand Tour finishes have further highlighted his all-round ability, and Intxausti will give Team Sky options in every stage race he enters.
Confirming his arrival, Intxausti said: "I am very excited to be joining Team Sky.
"Since its creation, I have always been attracted to the way the team works, and have always dreamt of being a part of it. Joining was an easy choice for me."
Team Principal Dave Brailsford said: "Benat has the capability of two very important things in cycling - He can perform as an individual, and as a team player.
"His arrival will strengthen our team in the very big races, and Beñat will also get opportunities throughout to perform in his own right."
Intxausti is Team Sky's fifth signing for 2016, following the arrivals of Alex Peters, Gianni Moscon, Michal Golas and Danny van Poppel.
