After a disappointing season, Team Sky’s manager Dave Brailsford is already looking ahead to 2015. Brailsford has told the BBC that the two main objectives for his team will be the Tour de France and a classic win.
Sky went without a grand tour or a classic victory in 2014, but Brailsford is confident of his goals for the 2015 season. We really like the get behind Bradley [Wiggins] for a good crack at Paris-Roubaix.” The 50-year old manager told the BBC. He later added that he is convinced that Chris Froome is still improving and will be in good form during the Tour de France.
Team Sky has been very active since the transfermarket opened on August 1st. They have significally improved their team with signings like Andrew Fenn, Wout Poels, Lars Petter Nordhaug and Philip Deignan. But the major signing is the number seven of this year’s Tour de France, Leopald Konig, who is expected to be a big contributor in Chris Froome’s quest to a second Tour de France win next season.
