Team Wiggins was today given a Continental licence by the UCI and the team will ride its first ever race at the four-day Challenge Mallorca, a series of four one-day rides in different terrain, in late Januray and the opening days of February.

Wiggins will leave Team Sky on April 30 to join the team and he will begin to focus on riding the track events to prepare him for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Sky and Rapha are both expected to sponsor the team according to Cycling Weekly.
