Yesterday, Tejay van Garderen, the BMC Racing Team leader, was not at the Palais des Cngrés in Paris for the presentation of the route of 2015 Tour de France, but the American will undoubtedly have followed it with interest. Some may feel that this course does not match his ability, but van Garderen remains confident.
"Excited to see the Tour route. My goals haven't changed. #podium", van Garderen told on Twitter.
Tejay van Garderen did a great season with a success in the USA Pro Challenge, but also with the fifth place in the Tour de France. Early this month, he explained what he has to improve : "I am willing to do the work and notably my explosiveness. And other sorts of fitness work off the bike. It’s one thing to bust out sit-ups for 15 minutes, but I need to look at other ways to strengthen where I need to strengthen. Position on the bike. Diet. Things like that."
