Paris-Roubaix champion Niki Terpstra will continue to be part of the world's best team for the cobbled classics as he has extended his contract with Omega Pharma-Quick Step. The Dutchman will stay with the team until the end of the 2017 season.

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team proudly announces the extension of contract for the Paris Roubaix 2014 winner, Niki Terpstra.

Terpstra extended his contract for 2015, 2016, and 2017. He has been with OPQS since 2011 and already has impressive results, including Dwars door Vlaanderen-Waregem in 2012. The 2014 season is already a big success for the Dutch rider, with a 1st stage and overall victory at Tour of Qatar, a win at Dwars door Vlaanderen, and the biggest palmares addition of his career at Paris-Roubaix.

"I'm happy the team has confidence in me," Terpstra said. "I really hope to continue making progress and growing within the wonderful framework of OPQS. I'm happy to stay with the team as it is not only one of the best teams in the world, but there is a special atmosphere within the team. You can feel it with the morale. We are friends, and racing together is a joy.

"Four years ago I chose this team to learn and grow as a rider in the big races I love like the Classics. Now, I can see my effort and my decision to join OPQS has paid off.
