This winter Niki Terpstra will prepare for the new road season by riding on the track. From tomorrow, he will be riding at the Six Days of Amsterdam which is back on the calendar after a one-year absence.

Terpstra looks forward to his return to Amsterdam. 

"It's a track where I've trained a lot. Every winter I have been there and it's a bit of my home track. I've already won two Six Days there. All in all it makes it quite special," he told All Sports Radio.

Terpstra will ride with Raymond Kreder. 

"I was looking for someone who has a lot of experience so I can ride it without a lot of practice. We're both experienced so w eshould click quickly. He has strengthand he is also fast. Therefore, I want to ride with him.”

Terpstra and Kreder are among the favorites for the overall victory butTerpstra especially points to the Belgians Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw as the men to beat. 

"I would not directly make us the favorites. Raymond and I can do well but we have just come out of a period of rest. I wonder how fast we are. The Belgians are on a rolle. They have won in London and rode for victory in Ghent. They are in shape and the absolute top favorites for me," he said. "It is generally a strong field, but if I have to mention one pair as favorite, it will be the Belgians."
