Jesus and Jose Herrada will again be an important part of the Movistar team in 2015. The two brothers are trusted by manager Eusebio Unzue for their reliable service for the telephone squad and next year they are set to ride together at the Giro d'Italia, according to a report by Biciciclismo.
Jesus Herrada is ready for his fifth year at the Movistar team after he turned professional with the squad in 2011. Last year he took a major step forward. After ahving been crowned Spanish champion in 2013, he debuted at the Tour de France and played an important role for Alejandro Valver in the Ardennes classics. Furthermore, he achieved two wins and finished 9th and was the best young rider in the Tour de Romandie.
Next year he will start his season in Mallorca and will make his debut at the Giro d'Italia where he will be one of the leaders with Beñat Intxausti, Ion Izaguirre and Juan Jose Lobato, the four riders that have been given the leadership after Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde decided to focus on the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana. In the second part of the season, he will focus on classics like the one-day races in Plouay, Quebec and Montreal where he did well in 2014.
Meanwhile, his brother Jose Herrada is ready for his fourth year with the team after he started at Viña Magna, Contentpolis and Caja Rural. The climber will add experience to the Giro roster as he will line up in the race for the fourth time. He will be one of the leaders in the Tour Down Under and is also expected to go to the Tour de France as an important domestique for Valverde and Quintana.
After Mallorca and Australia, both will follow a similar schedule in preparation for the Giro d'Italia, with Tirreno-Adriatico being the first target.
