Once again the Ster ZLM Toer has attracted some of the top sprinters in cycling. Marcel Kittel (Giant-Alpecin), André Greipel (Lotto-Soudal) and Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) have confirmed their attendance at the Dutch stage race.
They are joined on the start line by the Dutchmen Danny van Poppel (Trek) and Moreno Hofland (LottoNL-Jumbo), and the Irishman Sam Bennett (Bora-Argon18) and the Italian Matteo Pelucchi (IAM). The Ster ZLM Tour begins on Wednesday, June 17 with a prologue in Zeeuwse Goes. In the race that borrowing has five stages, in particular the second and fifth stage look set for a bunch sprint. Last year, the overall victory went to the Belgian Philippe Gilbert.
BMC, the team of Gilbert, was initially on the list of participants but they have decided not to attend the event. The American World Tour team is replaced by the Belgian Continental squad 3M.
