After one year at CCC Polsat, Tomasz Marczynski has signed a contract with Torku-Sekerspor. The Pole will lead the Turkish squad with Kevin Seeldraeyers.
A few days after announcing the signing of Kevin Seeldraeyers, Torku-Sekerspor continues to strengthen their roster of climbers. Today the team has added Tomasz Marczynski to the roster.
After a less successful season with CCC Polsat, 30-year-old Marczynski will step down to continental level. Before joining his home team, he rode for Vacansoleil where he excelled in the 2012 Vuelta a Espana but in 2013 he was set back by injury that made it difficult for him to find a new team when his Dutch squad folded.
In 2015, Lionel Marie will be the manager of Torku-Sekerspor which tries to rebuild its reputation after both Ivailo Gabrovski and Mustafa Sayar were announced to have tested positive on the back of wins in the Tour of Turkey in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Marczynski and Seeldraeyers are expected to lead the team in the Tour of Turkey which is the big goal for the Turkish team.
