These are special days for Team Colombia-Coldeportes’ Rodolfo Torres: after grabbing an exciting overall second place at the Tour de San Luis, he did not only receive the Colombian supporters’ enthusiasm, but he was also congratulated by quite an exceptional fan.
In fact, Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos used Twitter to thank Rodolfo and fellow Colombian Nairo Quintana (Movistar) for the results collected in Argentina: “Felicitaciones a @rodotorres1987 de @Col_Coldeportes y @NairoQuinCo, por llevar a Colombia al podio del @TourSanLuis.” (translation: Congratulations to Colombia-Coldeportes’ Rodolfo Torres and to Nairo Quintana for taking Colombia to the podium at the Tour de San Luis).
An unexpected attention, but a much appreciated one, to which Rodolfo Torres replied with a tweet: “Muchas gracias señor Presidente por su apoyo, el Team Colombia se lo dedica a todos los colombianos” (translation: “Thanks a lot Mr. President for your backing, Team Colombia-Coldeportes dedicates this result to all the Colombians".)
