Mikel Nieve (1984) has the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana on his calendar for next season, the third with Team Sky. The Basque has made the announcement on his personal website.
These days Nieve is training with his teammates at a training camp of the British formation until Monday. Yesterday he announced his schedule: Volta a la Valenciana, Vuelta a Andalucía, Tirreno-Adriatico, Volta a Catalunya, Tour of the Basque Country, the Ardennes Classics, Criterium du Dauphine, Tour de France, Clasica San Sebastian and Vuelta a Espana.
Thus, the Basque rider is part of the team must accompany Chris Froome in the Brit's attempt to win a third Tour de France. He skipped the race in 2015 and was 18th and 12th in the 2014 and 2013 editions respecively.
The Vuelta a Espana is again included in the schedule. Since 2010, Nieve has done all editions except in 2012: he was tenth in 2010 and 2011, 23rd in 2013, 12th in 2014 and eighth in 2015.
