Cycling fans will have even more access to what’s happening before, during and after all the stages of the 2015 Santos Tour Down Under with the introduction of Subaru Tour Tracker.
The Tour Tracker is the product of more than six years and 50,000 hours of development and testing, and is tailored to meet the specific needs of Tour Down Under visitors.
Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said the mobile app could now be downloaded.
“For the first time, fans will be able to download to their mobile device a combination of live streaming from the TV broadcast, real-time tracking of the race, live text commentary, race standings and results, stage overviews, photos, and more,” he said.
“The Subaru Tour Tracker will also provide pre-race information before the riders take to the starting line, as well as all the information fans need once a stage has been completed.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Subaru on this great addition to the 2015 Santos Tour Down Under.”
Subaru Australia’s General Manager Marketing, Andrew Caie, said the car-maker was excited to expand its support for the Tour Down Under through the Tour Tracker.
“We’re delighted to be a partner of the event and are looking forward to growing together, particularly through support of the online and mobile race coverage platform,” he said.
“The Tour Tracker will give fans an even richer experience. It will be the go-to resource for all things Tour, and Subaru is delighted to help bring the excitement of the event to the fans.”
