Bad news. Because of a failure to pay moneys owed from last year’s event and many financial difficulties, the Tour Méditerranéen will not take place this season. This race was not included on the UC Europe Tour program, published last September. 

“The organiser still owes the LNC and the FFC a significant sum,” the France’s Ligue Nationale de Cyclisme said in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon. “The Ligue Nationale de Cyclisme has looked several times to reach a solution with the organiser but on each occasion, he has not respected his commitments.”

It is the first time that this race has been absent from the schedule since it was created, in 1974.
