The difficulties of organizing races are not only restricted to Europe. Tour of Oman is facing a difficult future and there is even a risk that 2016 will be the last edition.
Times of Oman has raised the discussion as the contract with the various sponsors of the event had a duration of five years and will expire this year. The supervisor of the event Habib Al Zawawi has assured that he will do everything to continue the race and try to extend the contracts and find new bakers. Nonetheless, the future is shrouded in a fog of uncertainty.
During the event which will take place from February 16, there will be important negotiations that will clarify whether the race will be able to continue.
