Next year the Tour de France were set to pass close by a steep cliff but the organizers have wisely decided to avoid the danger. Therefore there will be a small route change.
Next year the Tour de France will bring the riders from Abbeville to Le Havre on stage 6. But the organizers have now realized that the passage through Dieppe is too dangerous.
For two years, the steep cliff of Pourville-sur-Mer has undergone significant changes. The Tour organizes have tweeted a photo that clearly shows the dangers.
The plan was for the riders to pass 13 metres from the cliff but that is too dangerous for both riders and spectators. Therefore, the course will be adjusted slightly, changing the distance by 1-2km. In any case, the race will not completely skip the city of Dieppe.
