After three years at Team Europcar ,Morgan Lamoisson joined the Vendée U earlier this year. He has finally decided to end his career at only 28 years of age but does not leave the cycling world. He hopes to become a sports director.

The season was hard for Lamoisson who lost a teammate during the season with the death of Romain Guyot. It was a tragic and traumatic event for Lamoisson who decided to stop. 

"I told myself that it could have been me,” he told La Nouvelle Repiblique. “I was apprehensive to go to the gym but the drive was always my engine. I even seriously thought about stopping right after Romain’s death.”

Lamoisson still honored his contract, notably winning two stages of the Tour de La Reunion before ending his career on the velodrome in Bordeaux with two medals at the French championships.

He has wasted no time and has already started the transition. 

"I have started to study to get my degree of sporting director. I wanted to stay in cycling and to become sports director seemed to be a natural choice."

He has found a position to make his debut, unsurprisingly with Vendée U. He will make his debut in the team car at Les Plages Vendéennes, the first race of the season for the team.
