Juan Jose Lobato (Movistar) sprinted to victory in Stirling ahead of Daryl Impey (Orica-GreenEdge) and his Movistar teammate Gorka Izagirre Insausti. Jack Bobridge (UniSA) holds on to the yellow jersey for another day.

Travis Meyer and Timothy Roe finished calmly in the field while William Clarke crossed at +:34. Martin Kohler came in at +4:10, Graeme Brown +5:48, Jordan Kerby +13:43 and Wouter Wippert +19:36.

“Today’s objective was to keep Tim and myself out of trouble. All the guys helped us out through the day and we both managed to stay on bunch time so it was a great team effort,” Meyer said. “I felt great all day and well in control. I am excited for tomorrow’s finish up Paracombe.”

“Tough day for the boys. Wouter had an off day, which was very difficult on a circuit like that. Travis and Tim both rode well and finished on the same time as the winner, which will be crucial to their GC aspirations. The finish tomorrow should suit them both a lot more than today so we will look to use that to start to move them up the GC,” said Tom Southam, Sports Director.

Tomorrow’s 143km stage starts in Norwood, where large crowds are expected to line The Parade and see the peloton off and will finish in Paracombe, nestled in the Adelaide Hills.
