Trek-Segafredo is the last addition to the impressive peloton of the 43rd Volta ao Algarve that will be held from 15 to 19 February, 2017.

The American squad is the 12th WorldTour team in the early season Portuguese race. With Trek-Segafredo, the Volta ao Algarve has again confirmed itself as one of the best races outside the WorldTour circuit, attracting 12 of the existing 18 first division teams.

The recent changes to the international calendar with the cancellation of the Tour of Qatara opened the opportunity forTrek-Segafredo to return to a race in which they won a stage with Fabian Cancellara in 2016.

The 43rd Volta ao Algarve will be attended by 25 teams. The peloton will have 200 riders, the maximum allowed by the regulations.
