Since his victory last Sunday in the Critérium du Dauphiné, Andrew Talansky is currently hottest property on the transfer market. Out of contract with his current team, Garmin-Sharp, the 25-year-old American is already part of the best riders in the stage races. 10th in his first Tour de France in 2013, Talansky is hoping for a Top 5 this year on the Tour.
Already approached by Team Sky midweek, Talansky would be a priority, if not the only priority of the U.S. team Trek Factory Racing. If you believe the information in newspaper L'Equipe, among others, the Trek would recruit Andrew Talansky to compete or to succeed Andy Schleck of Luxembourg, who no longer has the confidence of his team.
