Stage 4 in the Tour of Belgium took the peloton to the lake region over 158,5 km. The stage ended in a group sprint with Team Katusha’s Alexey Tsatevich sprinting in for 4th place behind winner Arnaud Démare (FDJ).
"Today it was a hilly stage with some small climbs, but finally it was a massive sprint. The team worked well for Tsatevich. In the final Vorganov did a perfect job for him in the sprint. Alexey did a good sprint and was close to podium but finished 4th. In general our team was active today - Anton Vorobyev spent a day in the breakaway and later with 5 km to go Kuznetsov tried himself in an attack. Tomorrow is the decisive stage on the route of Liège - Bastogne - Liège. We hope Vorganov and Silin will do a good race tomorrow," said team director Gennady Mikhaylov.
Just ahead of Tsatevich in second and third places were Tom Boonen (Etixx – Quick Step) and Jens Debusschere of Lotto Soudal.
Matthias Brändle (IAM Cycling) continues to lead but his advantage is down to one second ahead of Démare. Viacheslav Kuznetsov is 20th currently.
The final stage on Sunday is 199,2 km in Sankt Vith.
