The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is today publishing the rankings of the UCI Continental Teams for the 2016 UCI Continental Circuits.
The team rankings of 20.01.2016 take into account the individual UCI points of each team’s top eight riders, as well as the UCI points won by the latter at the 2015 UCI Road World Championships team time trial event.
On the basis of these rankings, the best teams will automatically be invited to participate in the major events on their respective UCI Continental Circuits.
With regards to the UCI Europe Tour, the organisers must send an invitation to the top 3 UCI Continental Teams for Class 2 events.
With regards to the four other UCI Continental Circuits (Africa, America, Asia and Oceania Tour), the organisers must send an invitation to the top 3 UCI Continental Teams for Class 1 and 2 events.
