Spanish newspaper El Pais has reported that in January, Madrid’s Provincial Court will publish its verdicts on the appeals made by the UCI and WADA on the initial sentences given in the Operacion Puerto doping case.
The original case verdict in April 2013 decreed that the blood bags, currently being stored in an anti-doping lab in Barcelona, would have to be destroyed.
There are believed to be 150-200 blood bags, many of which are believed to belong to pro cyclists.
