The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce its partnership with Norwegian free-to-air broadcaster TV 2. The deal covers the period from 2017 to 2020. 

The UCI and TV 2 have signed a partnership for the broadcast of the 2017 UCI Road World Championships, which will take place on Norwegian soil, in the city of Bergen. In addition, Norway’s commercial broadcaster will screen a wide selection of other UCI events including for track, mountain bike, BMX, cyclo-cross and trials. 

TV 2 will also be the host broadcaster of the 2017 UCI Road World Championships and will take care of international TV production, providing footage (live coverage, summaries, interviews, behind the scenes) to all right-holders.

It is a very encouraging sign of commitment from a country with a great cycling history. Concerning the 2017 UCI Road World Championships, I am expecting a very exciting event in Bergen with great quality coverage from our partner.”

The event will take place only a few months after we relocate our main office in Bergen and what better way to celebrate this move than by being the host broadcaster of this great event which takes place right on our doorstep.”
