USA Cycling has announced the elite men’s team that will compete in this month’s UCI Road World Championships, which take place in Ponferrada, Spain.
The team has 6 entries for the road race and 2 for the time trial. On the 28th of September, is the showpiece event, the road race. Andrew Talansky (Garmin-Sharp) and Tejay van Garderen (BMC) lead the team. Supporting roles will be played by van Garderen’s teammate Brent Bookwalter, Talanksy’s teammate Alex Howes, who is quick after a hard day, US Road Race champion Eric Marcotte (Smartshop) and USA Pro Challenge stage 1 winner and race leader, Kiel Reijnen, also a fast finisher.
Both van Garderen, who recently won the US Pro Challenge and Talansky will race the time trial on the 24th.
