The anti-doping committee of the Kazakh Cycling Federation decided to suspend Valentin Iglinskiy for four years following his positive anti-doping test returned from this year’s Eneco Tour. This means that the 30-year old former Astana rider won’t be allowed to compete until August 11, 2018.
Iglinskiy confessed to using EPO shortly after his positive test from Eneco Tour had been announced and claimed that he had been using forbidden methods without any knowledge or approval of his team.
Astana decided to release the 30-year old Kazakh with an immediate effect.
