Having been selected as one of the Belgian leaders for the Worlds, Greg Van Avermaet will fine-tune his condition on Wednesday in the GP de Wallonie. The Belgian leads a young BMC team in the hilly race.
The BMC Racing Team will field a seven-man roster for GP de Wallonie Wednesday that includes 2012 runner-up Greg Van Avermaet. Van Avermaet, winner of a stage of the Eneco Tour of Benelux in August, notched a pair of top 10 finishes Friday and Sunday at the Grands Prix Cyclistes in Canada.
The BMC Racing Team's roster for the 198.2-kilometer race in Belgium also includes stagiaires Luke Davison, Dylan Teuns and Loic Vliegen. Teuns was the BMC Racing Team's top finisher (10th overall) Sunday at the Friends Life Tour of Britain, while Rick Zabel had five top 10 finishes at the race.
