In their quest to get reinforcements, LottoNL-Jumbo are more than likely to try to sign Dylan van Baarle. The 23-year-old Dutchman does not necessarily have to leave his current team Cannondale.Garmin. "It is certainly not true that I have to leave or want to leave," the classic talent tells Wielerflits.
The news that LottoNL-Jumbo is interest in him is a well-known fact for van Baarle.
"Indeed, there is interest, but there is still nothing concrete. In fact, there can't be (only after July 1, other teams may start negotiations with riders who have an expiring contract, ed.). I'm not concerned and focus on other things. Then I will find our whether I can stay at Cannondale-Garmin next year or if I have to go elsewhere."
One of his goals is the Tour de France, where he will make his debut. Van Baarle feels perfectly will in his current team.
"I do not really need to leave. I am very happy in this team and can do things that I want. Sebastian (Langeveld, ed.) is a very good teacher and also Andreas Klier is an excellent team leader for me. That is why I would like to stay with Cannondale-Garmin."
