Lotto Soudal have announced the roster for the Vuelta a Andalucia in February. Jurgen Van Den Broeck will lead a team that is made up of climbers.
Lotto Soudal - which was known as Lotto Belisol in 2014 - will be ready for its 21st participation in the Vuelta a Andalucía - Ruta Ciclista del Sol from February 18-22. Under different names (Lotto-Mobistar, Lotto-Adecco, Lotto-Domo, Predictor-Lotto, Silence-Lotto, Omega Pharma-Lotto and Lotto Belisol), the Belgian squad has participated in the Andalusian race since 1991.
This year will be the first under the name of Lotto Soudal. After pre-season training camps in Alora and Benicassim, the technical staff of the Belgian team has announced the names of the riders who will compete in the 61st Ruta del Sol. Belgian Jurgen Van Den Broeck will lead the roster that will be made up of climbers. Sander Armée, Bart De Clercq, Jelle Vanendert and Louis Vervaeke will join their compatriot while Frenchman Tony Gallopin will be the only non-Belgian rider on the team. Jean Pierre Heynderickx who did the race four times in the 90s, will be the sports director of the Belgian team.
