Lars van der Haar has announced his December schedule. After the race in Hasselt on Saturday, the Dutchman will take a break for a few weeks before he goes into the hard series of Christmas races.
One of van der Haar’s initial targets coming into the season was the World Cup, having won the series last year, but after three of six races he has had his ups and downs. After getting off to the best start possible winning the opening race in Valkenburg, he had to sit out the second due to illness and then finished in fourth place at the mud-fest at Milton Keynes. The next World Cup race falls on the 21st December with the penultimate World Cup race just five days later on the 26th.
The Superprestige action also continues in December with the race in Diegem falling on the 28th. Van der Haar currently sits in the joint lead in the series after finishing in the top five in each of the five races so far.
Around these races are three events in the bpost bank tropee series, the first being Hasselt on the 6th, then in Essen on the 20th, and finally the race in Wuustwezel on the 30th.
