Lars van der Haar raced to 3rd place at Koppenbergcross, the second race for the bpost bank trofee was won by Wout van Aert. After today van der Haar is second overall in the bpost bank classification. 

After the race, van der Haar said: “It was a hard race and it took three laps for the race to break open. I didn’t want to ride in the big group and the legs weren’t great so I decided to take the initiative. That turned out to be a good decision because the feeling improved.

“Wout (van Aert) countered me and I couldn’t follow. I kept on riding my own pace for the podium, but lacked my target point. I accept my third place, although I would have liked to become second obviously. Wout didn’t make a mistake and was the strongest today, he is the deserved winner.”
