Jempy Drucker of the BMC Racing Team finished fourth for the second time in three days Wednesday at the Vuelta a España.

Caleb Ewan (ORICA-GreenEDGE) took the win in the 167.3-kilometer race ahead of John Degenkolb (Team Giant-Alpecin) and Slovakian national road champion and points classification leader Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo).

Drucker was also fourth on Stage 3 on Monday, when Sagan took the win. His fourth-place result Wednesday was his 11th top-five finish on the season which includes a victory at the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic earlier this month.

The overall lead changed hands, with Ewan's teammate, Esteban Chaves, being overtaken by Degenkolb's teammate, Tom Dumoulin, by one second. Tejay van Garderen, in 13th place and 56 seconds off the lead, is the BMC Racing Team's best-placed rider overall.

"I feel like I’ve recovered ok, I’m getting into the swing of things and after a couple of more days of racing, I should have my normal legs back," van Garderen told Cyclingnews. "But yeah, it’s getting there.

"On paper the longer climbs should suit me better and these punchy finishes are tough, but I’m dealing with them ok. Maybe not as well as some of the other guys but I’m feeling ok."
