He may be 34 years old but Klaas Vantornout does not plan to stop.  After months of suffering during the previous season, the Belgian has reinvented himself and seems to have found a 3.0 version. "That version is close to the 1.0, the young Klaas who headed into the field with pleasure," Vantornout tells the site Veldritkrant.be.

The West Flemish rider of Marlux-Napoleon Games has rediscovered the fun in his sport. 

"In recent years, that pleasure was gone. The stress and pressure took their toll," the 34-year-old Vantornout continues. But since the start of the 2016-2017season, it seems to go better for Vantornout who is again battling for the podium places.

 "I have left the pressure behind which makes it livable again. And more fun. Honestly? At the moment, I do not think abouu retirement. Even though I'm in the third version, I can still go on in this way. "

For Vantornout is also clear: Van der Poel and Van Aert are unbeatable. But Vantornout shows again consistency, with beautiful places of honor as a result: 6th in Gieten, 8th in Ronse, 5th in Zonhoven and the Koppenbergcross, 9th in Ruddervoorde and 4th in the hard cross in Gavere last weekend.
