Klaas Vantornout will also miss today's World Cup race in Heusden-Zolder. The Sunweb-Napoleon Games rider is still recovering from a viral infection.
"I can't get rid of the beasts," Vantornout tells Sporza after he had to skip last week's races in Essen and Namur. "Normally I would have been recovered after three or four days but now it's not over yet.
"The last two days I have felt a bit better. I could finish my first solid training today, but I have nothing to gain in Zolder tomorrow.
"I strongly believe that I will be at the start in Diegem (on Sunday, ed.). It is about time that I get back to racing."
